Martin Earley Tour of Kildare

So I did it. Well, I actually only did the 20k ride... me and a few others. The others were mainly kids... The bigger kids did the 100k.

New helmets.

While I'm furiously working on my Tour de France photos (there are quite a few...) here's a little distraction.

What do ya think about the peloton adopting these helmets?.... Hehe.

It's a bit late, I know..

but,

it turns out I wildly overestimated the actual internet access I would find while in various campsites all over Switzerland, France and Italy. I also might have overestimated the free time I would have between all the tent pitching, food making, cyclist watching, camp breaking and DRIVING that we would be doing while on our journey. (It also turns out that the majority of time we spent following the Tour de FRANCE was spent in Switzerland...go figure.)

I've decided to post the blog entries anyway. Some posts are written and sitting on my computer waiting to see the light of day and it'll be nice to narrate our photos. I think I'll cull the posts as much as possible and just put the emphasis on narrating the photos. Perhaps that will be a teeny bit less boring to our family who [better!] feel obliged to read our cry for attention..

It just seems sad to leave the little blog we created absolutely empty.
It's also a way for me to fill the massive vacuum that was created once the tour ended...

Um, stay tuned..
